The La Guaria Bosque Finca Full/Monterrey Towers Tour

Our most popular tour with 3-3. 5 full hours of "PRIVATE ATVing" into the far reaches of the Arenal area. When we first started putting together our tours we were told about an area called Monterrey, its amazing views, and the small dirt and rock road to get up to this area. We did some exploring and were blown away by the magnificent views of the valley below and the whole Los Torres (The Towers) area which is approximately 3550' above sea level. From here you see the towering Arenal Volcano right in front of you. You start out at our office and travel thru the pueblo of La Guaria with its population of 121 people. Even though it is small it still has a church, a school, and a convenience store, and soccer fields , all to serve the community and the surrounding farm families. From La Guaria you will travel up and down the foothills of the Arenal volcano until you cross the Rio Arenal, a swimming hole for the locals. At this point you will begin your uphill ascent in the area known as Monterrey. You will ride past farms and typical Costa Rican homes while enjoying some of the most amazing views not seen anywhere else in Costa Rica. Once you reach Los Torres you will stop and enjoy the 360 degree views of the Arenal volcano, the La Fortuna valley, and on a clear day you will be able to see into Nicaragua and its massive lake, (only approximately 35 miles away). The elevation here is 3550' or 1082 meters above sea level, the 2nd highest point ing the area. After photos are taken and views are viewed you will begin your descent down the mountain enjoying the surrounding valley floor below, the jungles, and wildlife. Once back in La Guaria you will then turn off the road where your journey continues on our private 4,000 acre farm and river as described above.
