About this activity
The program of this course generally takes 3.5 to 4 days to complete. The last 2 days are flexible. With PADI Instructor you will practice diving skills during 5 pool sessions and get to know theory and best practices of scuba diving during the 5 theory classes. You will make in total 4 real open water dives from shore or boat together with an instructor where you can enjoy the beauty of coral reefs in Bayahibe.
Itinerary
Day 1:
At 8:30am you will meet at the dive center to complete paper work and fill out a medical statement. Afterwards at 9am you will watch video and solve a short quiz. At 11:30am you will begin the first pool session during which you will learn basic diving skills and take your first underwater breath. Afternoon at 2:30pm you will plunge into the warm waters of Ocean and make your first real dive!
Day 2:
You will meet with your instructor at 9am at the dive club and continue with the theory session followed by training in the pool. At 2:30pm you will make your second thrilling open water dive in the ocean.
Day 3:
With similar timing as previous day, you will watch videos and solve a quiz. You will need to complete a simple multiple choice exam. After the pool session you will go for third ocean dive at 2:30pm.
Day 4:
On the last day we will do the final and easy open water dive. You can choose also to make dive number 3 and number 4 together starting at 8:30am. After this it is time to celebrate because you will be a PADI-Certified Open Water Diver!

- Confirmation will be received at time of booking
- Minimum age is 10 years
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- Not recommended for pregnant women and participants with back problems, heart complaints or other serious medical conditions
- Diving within 24 hours of flying is not recommended. All participants will be required to complete a health questionnaire prior to diving. Some pre-existing medical conditions (eg asthma, heart conditions, etc) may prevent you from diving, please consult your doctor
