11.30 – 12.30 drive to Langhirano area and visit of Prosciutto di Parma

We will see where the fresh haunches are selected an salted. Then visit the cooling, salting and “resting” rooms, each emulating the traditional winter to spring curing seasons. Best of all we will take you to the cellar branding areas where the “Naso” or master nose deciphers the perfume of only the perfect product for the ultimate branding of the twin crowns of Parma Ham. After the visit of the Prosciutto producer, you willl be taken to a food boutique nearby, at the foothill of beautiful Torrechiara castle, for a little tasting of Prosciutto and typical Parma’s specialities.
