About this activity
Full-day escorted escursion to the north of Lake Garda, to Bolzano, the capital of South-Tyrol. The city is a pleasant blend of Italian and German cultures as you will notice in architecture, street names, and language.
You will have the opportunity to enter the museum where the Iceman is exhibited along with his clothing and equipment (optional, not included) or just relax walking through the streets to Piazza delle Erbe to the colourful fruit market.
During the excursion you will also visit the Renon, a natural plateau high above the city, reached by cable car. You will then board a wonderful historic narrow-gauge train or cablecar and ride through the woods taking in breathtaking views of the western Dolomites. On the Renon you will also take a delightful walk to the naturally formed earth-stone pyramids.
This is a varied, enjoyable trip, returning to your hotel in time for dinner.
