Our full day Hudson River Gorge whitewater trips meet at 9 am at our Hudson River Rafting in North Creek, NY, 35 minutes north of Lake George. After check in, guests are dressed for success with a helmet, PFD, paddle and wetsuit if necessary (all gear included). At 9:30 guests load a bus and are driven 25 minutes to the river, given safety briefings and an overview of the day. We arrive at the river and begin our fun-filled day of whitewater rafting!
Guests raft 3 miles of Class III whitewater on the Indian River and then meet the Hudson River for another 14 miles of whitewater fun! The trip is 17 miles total and rafters can expect adrenaline pumping Class III-IV rapids, swimming sections, a riverside snack lunch and beautiful scenery.
Time spent on the raft is dependent on water levels but is typically 4-5 hours. A bus picks us up at the end of the river and we ride 5 minutes back to our base. Once back at the base guests can change into dry clothes, check out photos of themselves in the rapids and join us to relive the day over a hearty meal. Exact times vary but guests can typically expect to wrap up by 4-4:30.
