During the course, youll make at least five pool dives and four dives on our beautiful reefs under the supervision of your experienced instructor. You learn to use basic scuba gear like mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, weight belt and your BCD (buoyancy control device). Gaining this scuba diving certification enables you in future to dive worldwide independently and without the supervision of a professional. You'll also meet the prerequisites to enroll in the Advanced Open Water Diver program and a lot of specialty courses if you wish to continue your training. The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of 5 dives in the pool or confined water, 5 knowledge development sessions, 4 open water training dives to a maximum depth of 18 meters. The Open Water Diver materials cover what you need to know about basic scuba diving skills, terminology, and safety procedures. For each concept, you'll read a description and watch a video demonstration. Then you'll jump in the pool to practice these skills with your instructor.
