After pick-up from your Las Vegas hotel, you will make your way to the Hoover Dam - approximately 30 minutes east of Las Vegas. Here, you will have the opportunity to go deep into the inner workings of this Modern Civil Engineering Wonder of the World. On your Hover Dam Power Plant tour, your expert guide will explain the history of the dam, the feat of building this ahead of schedule back in the 30's and how it operates.

When the Hoover Dam was built, it created Lake Mead - a popular recreation area for locals and visitors. After your tour of Hoover Dam, you will board the Desert Princess for a 90-minute paddle wheel sightseeing cruise. From this vantage point, you will see the beauty that can be found in the desert mountains! Lunch is included on the cruise, which will include a hero sandwich, chips, fruit and choice of beverage. Really interesting day. Driver had a great deal of knowledge and the staff gave a lot of background and current information. Lunch on the Lake Mead cruise was a bit of a letdown although the cruise itself was interesting.

Had a great time touring Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. Nice to not have to drive and just relax. Only negative thing I would say is our pick up was a little confusing with one not very nice driver picking us up and then getting another driver at our next stop. Bill C. was very nice. Lunch could be better on the cruise. Seating uncomfortable on the top of the boat where we had to eat without a table.

Hoover dam tour was great. Unfortunately, we had to wait an hour to board for the cruise.
