This thrust faulting can be traced all the way to Canada but the best exposure sits in the backyard of Las Vegas at Red Rock Canyon. Take a moment to view the red, orange, and brown-colored rocks that make up this popular location visited by 2 million people each year. Take a relaxing drive around the 13 mile Red Rock Canyon Scenic Route while making stops to learn about the park and take pictures of the most scenic view points inside the national conservation area. You will get a view of the art work of mother nature while the colors change from a fiery red to a soft orange during the sunset.
