Zion National Park hiking adventure to Angels Landing
A trip to Zion’s would be incomplete if you don’t hike Angels Landing, consistently ranked among one the world’s greatest hikes.
Ascend along a steep trail which has literally been cut into the face of a vertical cliff. A third of the way up, the trail passes into a cool grotto and then up the switch backs known as Walters Wiggles. Half way up you will reach Scout lookout, then on to the final push. Continue to hike along a fin with 700’ drops on either side of us. But don’t worry, the trail is plenty wide to feel secure, and the NPS has placed hip high chains to hold along the more treacherous parts.
Once you finish at Angels Landing you will enjoy a well earned lunch at the Zion Lodge. Then head up to the Temple of Sinawava and walk up the world famous Narrows. Cool mountain water from the upper plateau has carved this deep channel over eons. You will love the experience of traversing upstream as massive walls tower overhead.
You'll finish and return to Springdale by evening. You’re going to need all the memory your camera can handle today!
