Cradle Mountain Walking and Campfire Experience

An ideal tour to experience Tasmania’s iconic Cradle Mountain and relax around a camp fire in a bush setting. The roomy tents are large enough to stand in and have stretcher beds and pillows (sleeping bags can be hired if you don’t have your own). Toilet and shower facilities are available

Day 1 (L, D)
Start your journey heading towards Cradle Valley and driving through picturesque country towns. First stop is your camp where you can get ready for a short drive to Cradle Mountain to enjoy a range of walks. These can be tailored to meet the needs of the group but can range from a 2-hour classic Dove Lake circuit to walks of 4 to 5-hours in length. After exploring, the group will head back to camp, get the fire going and relax as your guide will prepare a wholesome, hearty meal. Watch the stars and see if any of the local wildlife can bee seen from camp.

Day 2 (B, L)
Depending on the activities planed for today it may be an earlier start. Enjoy some breakfast before driving to the National Park again. Today will be an opportunity to try some different adventures as per the suggestions below. If you don’t wish to participate in these there are plenty of other walks within the park. Depending on the activities chosen some of the walks may be self guided if the group chooses different activities to participate in.

Activities on offer include (additional expense)
Canoeing on Dove Lake with superb views of Cradle Mountain (AUD$95)
Canyoning in Dove Canyon or other river in the area (AUD$100)
Fly fishing. Learn the basics of the art of fly fishing at Cradle Mountain Lodge (Price upon request)
Wild life tour / Devil park tour (from AUD$20)
