Snorkeling: the sunken treasures of Leuca

We will do Snorkeling and Trekking to discover the sunken treasures of Leuca along the Rotta Finibus Terrae. We will immerse ourselves in the discovery of these coastal marine ecosystems accompanied by our Environmental Excursion Guides and by Marine Biologists, we will discover the biodiversity of this unique stretch of coast, where the Adriatic and the Ionian seas are embraced. We will observe a myriad of marine species, algae, corals, molluscs, crustaceans, octopus, fish of all species and also harmless and colorful jellyfish. The marine fauna of the Mediterranean is concentrated on the coast and it is here in the first meters from the shore that the marine biodiversity is concentrated. We will take 3 Snorkeling sessions starting from the extreme Punta Meliso, where we will do Snorkeling where the two seas embrace, we will enter the Underwater Cave an underwater passage, explore the barrier of coral algae and we will enter the Blue River Cave, a submarine Canyon. After the first session we will return to the meeting point, lunch break, relax and swim and we will prepare for the second session. For this Second Session of Snorkeling we will enter in water from the "Scalo", ancient shelter for the fishermen, we will explore by sea the sea caves of the west and the magnificent inlets that open along the route Finibus Terrae, we will immerse in the crystal clear waters full of life of Leuca . The first route heading north of the route will take us to discover the coral reef renamed "The Earthly Paradise", then we will discover the Punta Submarine Canyon of the "Dead Omo". We will push ourselves to explore the coast until we reach the "Pontile degli Inglesi" here we will pause before returning to the starting point. Bath and relaxation. In the afternoon we will start again with the Third Session of Snorkeling to admire the south coast and the Finibus Terrae Path with its sea caves and hidden coves. We will explore the cave of the "Fonte" and we will snorkel on the "Strisciu". From there we will explore the magnificent Porcinaracon Insen cave and its Murena Cave, we will snorkel in the famous Baia Verdecon its natural pools. Returning to the starting point, the activities at sea will end. For those who want there will be the Trekking option along the Finibus Terraesino path at Punta Ristoladove we will have the opportunity to enter the Grotta del Diavolo, to explore one of the most evocative caves of Leuca. From here we will return with a coastal Trekking to the meeting point and the beginning of the excursion.
