Itinerary
Day 1: Day 01: Arrive Leh
Stop At: Leh Royal Palace, Leh India
Upon arrival, participants are picked up from the Leh airport and checked into the lodge. Those travelling by road will check in to the lodge directly. The rest of the day will be spent in acclimatization to the high altitude and the low temperatures. Later, the group leader will facilitate a mutual introduction and orient the group to what may be expected on the Tour. We spent the first evening exploring Shanti Stupa & Leh palace in the evening. And after a scrumptious dinner, we retire for the night. Overnight at Leh

Day 2: Birding In & Around Leh – Sham Valley Exploration
Stop At: Hall of Fame, Leh-Kargil Road, Leh India
After breakfast we shall be visiting some sightseeing locations enroute along with birding at spots , Indus & Zanskar river Sangam, drive along the Indus river visiting, Pathar Sahib Gurdwara and Magnetic Hill (where the cars defy gravity), Basgo Palace Hiking only and further on to Leh Hall of Fame (which has a museum of the Kargil War memorabilia) Over Night stay at the Hotel

Day 3: Birding In & Around Leh
Stop At: Hemis National Park, Karu Market, Leh 194101 India
Hemis National Park Visit After a leisurely breakfast, we drive to visit Hemis National Park situated 45km west of Leh; Hemis is the largest and the wealthiest monastery in Ladakh. From Hemis, you are driven back taking the same route to visit Thiksey Monastery, located on a hill-lock with formidable views of the Indus valley. Thiksey is especially noteworthy for its gigantic seated statue of the Maitreya and is also known for its (Dukhang) assembly hall which houses hundreds of rectangular prayer books, stacked between wooden covers and bound in silk. After that we continue to drive through series of chortens to visit Shey Palace the former summer palace of the King of Ladakh. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4: Leh – Nubra Via Khardung La (Appx 120 Kms / 6 Hrs)
Stop At: Khardungla Pass, Khardung La Rd, Leh, Jammu and Kashmir 194101
After Breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla (Highest Motorable road in the World, 18,380 ft) Arrive at Hundur by Afternoon. Post lunch explore Deskit, Hunder Villages and camel Safari in Sand Dunes between Deskit and Hunder Village for Birding. Overnight stay at the camp.

Day 5: Nubra to Pangong lake via shyok river
Stop At: Pangong Tso, Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, India; Ladakh, , India;, Leh 194101 India
post breakfast visit Diskit monastery which is 515 years old After Breakfast visit Deskit Monastery drive to pangong lake via shayok river. it is the third highest motorable road in the world. Arrive Pangong Lake it is the highest salt water Lake in the World, shared by two countries India & China. Enjoy the beauty of the lake on the Banks of Pangong Lake while appreciating the changing Colors and fascinating high altitude of the Lake. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6: Pangong to Hanle via Chushul and Tsaga la

Drive to Hanley* / Anley via Chushul and Tsagala Pass. Highlight Black-necked Crane, Golden Eagle, Ruddy Shelduck, Barheaded Geese, Common Tern, Northern Pintail, Common Merganser, Black Redstart, Tibetan Sandgrouse, and Tibetan Patridge
