About this activity
DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN LASHA. Upon arrival in Lasha, you will meet our staff & transfer to Hotel. Acclimatize and overnight stay at Hotel.Drink more water and rest well. Should not go around today.

DAY 2: Lhasa tour - Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street (Breakfast) After breakfast, we will proceed to visit Potala Palace which is the winter palace of the Dalai lama. It was built on 7th Century by the 33rd great king of Tibet. The most valuable collections of Potala Palace are the gilded burial stupas of former Dalai Lamas and meditation Cave of the 33rd great king of Tibet. Next; tourists head visit Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street.

DAY 3: Lhasa tour - Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery (Breakfast) After breakfast, we will visit Drepung monastery which is one of the “great three” Gelug monasteries of Tibet, founded in 1416 by Jamyang choge, one of the Tsongkhapa’s main disciples. Visit biggest monastery kitchen inside the monastery and enjoy Buddhist Sculpture Carving workshop near Drepung.

DAY 4: Lhasa/Namtso Lake (Breakfast) (220km, 5hours driving, asphalt road in good condition)

 In the morning around 08:00am, our guide and driver pick you up from your hotel, and then leave Lhasa to Namtso Lake. Nyenchen Thanglha snow mountain ranges appear in front of you all the way. In summer (May to August), the sheepherders and their family move to grassland and set up their tents, you could see green grassland, groups of sheep and yaks, nomad tents by the road. 

DAY 5: Namtso, Dazhuka, Shigatse (385km, 8-9hours driving) (Breakfast) Enjoy the clear morning at the lake shore, witness sunrise view. After that, continue to Shigatse, the second biggest city in Tibet, you will go through a long distance of rough road between Yanpanchen and Dazhuka, and finally get to Shigatse in the late afternoon.

DAY 06: Shigatse to Gyantse (3,950m/12,955)-90kms(Breakfast) Today we visit the Tashilunpo Monastery and the open market of Xigaste in the morning time. After getting lunch we start our short drive to Gyantse where you visit the Khumbum Stupa and Phalkot Monastery and overnight. Overnight at hotel

DAY 07: :Gyantse to Lhasa (3,650m/11,970)-259kms(Breakfast) Today we reach Lhasa after long drive approx 8 hours on the way crossing the Karo La (5010m/16432ft) and Kamba La (4794m/15724ft) pass and Lake YamdrokTso. You will cross the YarlungTsangpo (Brahamaputra) river and see the distant views of the Potala Palace. Overnight at hotel Stay overnight in Lhasa

 

DAY 08: Early morning drive to Airport fly to Next destination ( Breakfast)
