About this activity
Day 1: Arrival in Lhasa.
Your guide will meet you at the airport or train station and transfer to your hotel for check-in. Rest or partake in free time to explore the city on your own. You will stay overnight at 3-star or 4-star Hotel (Option).
Day 2: Potala Place, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street (B,D)
The tour will begin from UNESCO World Heritage site - Potala Palace, which is also the winter palace of Dalai lama. It's situated at 12,139 feet (3,700 meters) above sea level. It's a 13-story high building that contains over 1,000 rooms, various statues, stupas, murals and artifacts.
Then continue to Jokhang Temple, another UNESCO World Heritage site. It’s a spiritual center for Buddhists in Tibet. Next to the temple there is Bakhor street, filled with pilgrims and street vendors, selling traditional Tibetan items such as prayer wheels and jewelry. You will stay overnight at 3-star or 4-star Hotel (Option).
Day 3: Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery (B)
You will visit two great monasteries of central Tibet: the Drepung and Sera Monastery. Drepung was a seat of central government until the 5th Dalai Lama built Potala Palace. You can visit biggest monastery kitchen inside the monastery and enjoy Buddhist Sculpture Carving workshop near Drepung.
In the Afternoon, Tourists will visit Sera Monastery which is another one of the “great three” Gelug monasteries of Tibet. The hot attraction is the Monks debate at around 3 - 5 o'clock in the afternoon. In addition, you can tour the Tibetan religious scripture printing house; inside the monastery, you can see three sand Mandalas and colorful Rock Painting of Buddha. You will stay overnight at 3-star or 4-star Hotel (Option).
Day 4: Depart from Lhasa (B)
The guide will transfer you to the airport or train station and help you to board your flight/train.

- Confirmation will be received within 48 hours of booking, subject to availability
- Book at least 20 days in advance so tour operator may attain your Tibet Permit. Tibet Permit will be delivered to customers' delivery address / hotel address in one city of China. Please note your tour operator will contact you after the booking is confirmed.
- Travelers are required to provide photocopy of passports and China L visas at least 20 days prior to travel date.
- Please Notice: Customers' airport pick-up and drop-off in Lhasa need be arranged by tour supplier. If customers fly to Lhasa from Kathmandu, please do not apply for China L Visa in advance, because customers need apply for their Tibet Group Visa from China Embassy in Kathmandu via travel agency. Before that, they need ask for invitation letter from tour supplier. If customers fly or take a train to Lhasa from one city of China, they need apply for their China L Visa from China Embassy in their country.
- You will be given your contact information on your confirmation voucher which you will receive after your booking, so that you can send your passport and Chinese visa to tour supplier.
- A valid passport and China L Visa used to apply for Tibet Permit are required on the traveling period
