Day 1: Arrival

Stop At: Barkhor Street, Chengguan District, Lhasa 851500 China
BARKHOR means the middle path of Kora, Lhasa city has three paths of circumambulation, and it is the middle one.

Day 2: Lhasa sightseeing

Stop At: Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street, Chengguan District, Lhasa 850000 China
Jokhang Temple, a place of the Holy Statue of the Buddha is the holiest Buddhist temple in Tibet and it is located in the center of Lhasa city. Originally it was built for the holy statue of the Buddha called Mikyoe Dorjee. Moreover, it was brought to Tibet by Brikuti Devi, the Nepalese wife of the King Songtsen Gambo, as her dowry.

Stop At: Sera Monastery, Wuze Hill , Sera Chengguan District, Lhasa 850000 China
Sera Monastery is approximately 5km north of central Lhasa. It is the second biggest Gelugpa learning center. Chamchen Choeje Shakya founded the Monastery in 1419. He was an important student of Reverent Tsongkhapa, who was the most famous teacher of Tibetan Buddhism. In addition, his activities led to the formation of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism.

Day 3: Lhasa sightseeing

Stop At: Potala Palace, No.35 Gongqian Alley, Beijing Middle Road Cheng Guan District, Lhasa 850000 China
The Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet, was the residence of the Dalai Lama. Now, Potala Palace is an Important pilgrim and tourist site and World Heritage Site.

Stop At: Drepung Monastery (Zhebang Si), Southern Slope of Genpeiwuzi Mountain, Chengguan District, Lhasa 850000 China
Drepung monastery is located on the slope of Gepel Utse ridge, 8 kilometers northwest of Lhasa. It is the biggest Gelugpa learning center and was founded in 1416 by Jamyang Choeje Tashi Palden who was one of the main disciples of master Tsongkhapa. There are four main Dratsang or colleges which are Deyang, Gomang, Loseling, and Ngakpa the tantric college.

Day 4: Departure from Lhasa

Stop At: Norbulingka, Luobulinka Rd, Chengguan Qu, Lasa Shi, Xizang Zizhiqu, China, 850000
The Jewel Park or Norbulingka is the summer palace of the successive Dalai Lamas for up to six months of the year. The Potala Palace is the Winter Palace. In the 18th century, the 7th Dalai Lama Kelsang Gyatso took a “treatment bath” in the spring here. And, soon a palace was built for him, called Kelsang Podrang. There is also a smaller palace called Uyap palace and this was used by the Dalai Lamas when they would watch Tibetan opera dance during the Shoton or “Yoghurt Festival” and other events. The second major palace is called Chensel Podrang which was built during the 13th Dalai Lama, Thubten Gyatso’s time.
