9:30 am on time and walk together slowly to visit

the must see attraction of Jokhang Temple and Barkhor streets in the whole morning

9:30 am and 12 o'clock.

Jokhang Temple was founded in the 7th century by the first great Buddhist king Songtsen Gampo. As the most sacred temple in Tibet, Jokhang is situated in the heart of Lhasa city and attracts many pilgrims from around Tibet to worship and walking around. The walking around Jokhang Temple following pilgrims from all over the Tibetan plateau is a must-needed experience. After the morning guided walking tour, your Tibetan tour guide will recommend few restaurants and/or tea-houses in the downtown for your lunch options. You can enjoy your relaxed lunch till 2:30 pm and then all group members should get to the meeting point at Yak Hotel lobby again before 2:45 pm for the afternoon trip. Guide will reconfirm the group members one by one before 2:55 pm, your van/mini bus driver, your guide and all of you will leave at 3 pm for

Sera Monastery.

Sera Monastery is one of three great universities of Gelugpa Sect. The magnificent Sera Monastery covers an area of 114,946 square meters (28 acres). There are three main buildings which are called Coqen Hall, Zhacang (college) and Kamcun (dormitory). There are scriptures written in gold powder, fine statues, scent cloth and unparalleled murals in these halls. Colorful debates on Buddhist doctrines are held here every afternoon except for Sunday and this is distinctive from the other famous monasteries. We will enjoy the visit to the debating session of the Tibetan monks.
