Private Lijiang Day Tour: Tiger Leaping Gorge, Stone Drum Town, Zhiyun Lamasery, Yangtze River First Bend

Well-prepared for adventure to the fierce Tiger Leaping Gorge with roaring water at about 9:00 am. (The guide will contact you in advance to confirm the pickup time.)
Start the exhilarating drive for about 3 hours and 100 kilometers northern to Tiger Leaping Gorge. Along the way, firstly make a stop at the First Bend of Yangtze River, an astoundingly sharp V-shaped turn of Yangtze, to enjoy the beautiful sights. Then, get down at Stone Drum Town, a village famed for a drum-shaped stone tablet in Qing Dynasty, to learn more about the local customs.
In the afternoon, commence to the exploration of Tiger Leaping Gorge. It is one of the four great gorges and one of the deepest in the world as a primary tributary of the upper Yangtze River. Divided into three sections of upper gorge, middle gorge and lower gorge with steep altitude intercept, it prompts the flow rate increasing to an amazing speed. The thunderous rushing waters slam into sharp, large rocks and crash down into the river forming swirling whirlpools. Visitors can stand on the viewing deck to get close to experience a large volume of torrent moving between mountains cutting deeper and deeper into the bottom of the gorge.
On the way back to Lijiang, have a stop at Zhiyun Lamasery to see the lamasery architectures with melted Han, Tibet, Bai and Naxi minorities styles and admire the mysterious stone tablet with Sanskrit verses.
Get back to the hotel in Lijiang at about 5:30 pm.
