Julio picked me up at my hotel, and we walked around Barranco seeing the key spots: Bridge of Sighs; and Plaza de Armas Barranco. Then we sped into Lima Central on the Metropolitan bus. We walked from Plaza Grau to Plaza San Martin and Plaza de Armas before visiting the catacombs of San Francisco. We then took the Metropolitan bus back to Barranco and he accompanied me to my hotel. The whole time he was friendly, polite, and full of explanations of what we were seeing. Highly recommended and worth the cost.

We particularly liked that we were the only westerners visible on certain parts of the tour. This walk takes in everything you need to see in the city. If you only have a short period of time and want to cram it all in to a day then do it. The guide Julio knew his stuff and was very informative. We went for an afternoon tour. After a few hours we were starting to tire and needed a drink and asked for a pit stop. He took us to a great old bar called Cordano. We had a quick beer and continued the tour. It was Easter Monday and carnival day in the main square which added to the fun. At the end we opted to go to a great area called Barranco rather than our hotel. He navigated his way through the city excellently using public transpoirt and gave us a guide of the Barranco area too. He even offered to then get us back to the hotel if needed. We said thanks and our goodbye's and enjoyed the nightlife.

We had an excellent tour of Lima with Julio earlier this month. He showed up promptly at the Westin to pick us up from the lobby. We utilized the bus system and that was easy for us to navigate the traffic. We did the Historic Center, Barranco, Miraflores, Lover's Park. We had lunch together at Popular in Larcomar. He took tons of pictures for us and was very passionate about his country. He has a wealth of knowledge and was happy to share it with us. We had a lovely time browsing and exploring his lovely city. It was so nice to have a leisurely tour at our own pace. We highly recommend Julio for your next tour. Muchas Gracias Julio! We miss you. The Ahmad Family

We had a great walking and public transport tour of LIma. Our tour guide Julio met us a location in Lima and from there we spent the day first taking a cab, walking through historical Lima, and then a bus to the beach towns to check out this vibrant area. Our guide Julio took us to a great Peruvian lunch restaurant to make the day complete. Because we were on a cruise ship we dock in Callao, the port town to Lima. This is not a great area, their are port restrictions that don't allow passengers to get a local cab, so our plans on meeting our guide at the agreed location was in jeopardy. But the tour company came through the day before we docked, using emails at sea so that we could arrange to meet at a shopping center convenient to us and our guide. I really appreciated their flexibility. For those on a cruise ship know that getting out of the port may be difficult if you are not on a cruise line tour.

A great tour and our guide was amazing, even though we were significantly delayed.

This tour was an all day walking tour around several areas of Lima....we used public transportation, which was nice to see how the people of Lima move around the sprawling city. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and spoke wonderful English....he taught us a lot about the Peruvian history and culture. I would say this tour is for those in moderate to good physical shape, as we put in at least 8 miles of walking and had to stand on the buses.....but worth the activity.

My daughter and I took this walking tour on a Sunday from 9am-3pm. Mr Lazaro met us at the hotel right on time. We visited Miraflores, the Historic Center and Barranco, enjoying public transportation all day long which is excellent in Lima. Modern, fast, neat and user friendly. Mr Lazaro was very knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining. He recommended a great restaurant in the Historic Center where we had Lima's well known seafood. He taught us about history, economy, social issues in Lima etc etc. We highly recommend this private tour!! Worth it!!
