Private Overnight Tour: Nazca Lines Including Huacachina and Ballestas Islands

Day 1: Lima to Ica and Flight Over Nazca Lines (L)
Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Ica in a private van. You will arrive in Ica at around 12pm and head straight to the airport there to board an airplane that will take you on a 1.1-hour flight over the impressing Nazca Lines. These are series of ancient geoglyphs in the desert made by the Nazca culture (approximately 400 – 650AD) and the reason for why they were created remains a mystery. During your flight, spot the most interesting figures including the hummingbird, tree, monkey, parrot, dog, condor, astronaut, among others. After your flight, you will be taken to the Huacachina Oasis, a paradise for adrenaline and landscape lovers, This is a beautiful lagoon surrounded by pristine sand dunes. If you feel adventurous that day, you can try sand-boarding on a sand buggy adventure (add-on activity, not included). After this visit, enjoy a delicious lunch and head to your hotel in Ica to rest for the night.

Overnight in Ica

Day 2 : Ballestas Islands and Return to Lima (B) (L)
In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and taken to the Chaco Harbor in Paracas via private van for your remarkable boat ride to the Ballestas Islands. These three small islands are filled with animals a short distance off the coast. On the boat ride to the islands, you will be able to see the ‘Candelabro', a giant geoglyph in the shape of a candle holder. Arriving to the Ballestas Islands, you will stay on the boat to observe a chaotic flurry of animals, including noisy but playful fur seals and sea lions as well as a huge number of sea birds including Humbolt penguins, pelicans, tendril, Inca tern, the Peruvian booby, red legged cormorant and guanay. You will travel closely around the islands to have a spectacular view of the animals on the shore, those flying overhead, and those swimming underwater. After touring the islands, you will be taken to enjoy a delicious seaside lunch before heading back to Lima and being dropped-off at your hotel there.
