Stop At: Plaza San Martin, Lima Peru
Our first stop on the historic city-center portion of our tour. Here we recognize one of Peru's most well-known liberators, Jose de San Martin.
Duration: 10 minutes
Stop At: Iglesia y Convento de San Francisco, Plaza San Francisco Jirón Lampa y Ancash, Lima 15001 Peru
Also known as the St. Francis Monastery in English, the church and convent were added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1991. We will briefly observe the convent from outside as well as have the opportunity to step into the church and observe the surroundings. A full tour of the Convent and Catacombs is not offered on this highlights itinerary.

Stop At: Plaza de Armas (Plaza Mayor), Jr. Junin and Jr. Carabaya, Lima Peru
Here we will spend a few minutes in the heart of Lima. The Plaza de Armas is home to the Presidential Palace, Arch Bishop's Palace, Cathedral and Municipal buildings and can oftentimes be a lively place filled with people and various forms of entertainment.

Stop At: Huaca Pucllana, Calle General Borgono Cuadra, 8 Miraflores, Lima 15074 Peru
A brief stop to observe Lima's most famous solid pyramid used as a ceremonial site for the Lima culture during the years of 200 to 700 AD. A full tour of the site is not taken, only observed from the outside.

Stop At: Mercados Incas, Avenida Petit Thouars intersección con Ricardo Palma, Lima LIMA 18 Peru
Normally a 30 minute stop planned at Lima's largest handcraft and souvenir market. Have your guide help you with a few quick purchases or if you don't have a need to stop, we will fill in the time at another fun site along the way.

Stop At: El Parque del Amor, Malecon de la Reserva Miraflores, Lima 18 Peru
An artistic park located on the sea-side cliffs of Miraflores. Observe the para gliders sailing over head and local young couples strolling along the paths dedicated to lovers everywhere. A great place to snap a quick photo of you and a loved one!
Duration: 10 minutes
Stop At: Morro Solar, Chorillos, Lima Peru
Sitting at roughly 251 meters above sea level, you will get a wonderful view of the Pacific Coastline, Chorrillos Bay an the Shanty towns below. Often overlooked on other tours, this can be the highlight of ours!

Enjoyable tour covering a nice cultural mix of Lima. Jorge our guide was very personable and informative. He tells stories to make his points. Our driver Carlos was efficient and knew his way through the terrible Lima traffic. Excellent driver. Jorge kept the pace nice and moderate. Taking this tour gave us a car, driver and guide. I really find this way to be well worth the cost. We had no issues whatsoever. If one wants an overview of this large city and the varied cultural history this is the tour to take.
Viator did a wonderful job on our tour of Lima. It was booked at the last minute after the mudslides changed our plans. The hard part is it was for a group of 20. They were amazing. They provided a comfortable bus to accommodate us all. We still don't know how the driver was able to manage driving it around thru the traffic. They must have decided to send us their best for tour guides too. Sergio and Jorge or George as his grandmother called him were wonderful. They connected with everyone in our group. They had great stories and facts to share. We were very pleased. Thank you.
