Stop At: Barranco District, Lima Peru
The old train of Barranco
To begin with, we visit this ancient train which dates back from late 18 hundred and that now is a unique restaurant. Here we will try “Papa a la Huancaina”, a very delicious appetizer with potatoes and a yummy sauce made of crackers and sweet chilis.
Local Market
The best way to get to know more about food culture is through markets, therefore we include a Peruvian native fruit tasting in Barranco’s Local Market.
Tanta rana Restaurant
This restaurant is a “hole in the wall”. Here we will taste the famous “Ceviche” plus a typical drink.
Chinito Sangucheria
We will explain you about Chinese influence in our food and here we will have a traditional “Chicharron (pork) Sandwich”, locals love eating this since it is just flavorful.
Juanito Restaurant
This a traditional Peruvian restaurant where we will try “lomo saltado”, a famous dish made of beef, onions, tomatoes, sweet chilis and soy sauce. And what a better idea than have it with our national drink, “Pisco sour”.
Javier
We conclude our food experience in Barranco with a yummy dessert. “Picaron”, well known as local Peruvian doughnuts.
This is an amazing food walking experience in such a nice neighborhood!
