About this activity
After getting picked up at your central hotel by a local guide, set off for a 4-hour driving tour of Portugal’s capital city. Travel by luxury minivan to see Liberdade Avenue, Restauradores Square, Rossio Square, the Baixa District, and the Santa Justa Elevator.
Stop at the beautiful Lisbon Cathedral and Saint Anthony Church and take in the view from Nossa Senhora do Monte. Next, head to São Jorge Castle, Chiado, Luís de Camões Square, and the lively Bairro Alto District. At the Assembly of the Republic you’ll also get to explore the historical Palácio de São Bento, a former Benedictine monastery which now houses the Assembly.
Continue the adventure at the Estrela Basilica and the historical Tower of Belém. See the monument to global exploration at the famous Monument to the Discoveries. This was a well organised, fantastic tour of Lisbon. The tour guide was very helpful, informative and friendly. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to see Lisbon in a few hours.

We were picked up at our hotel on time, in a newer Mercedes Mini-van. We had a very knowledgeable guide. We had a bit of time to stroll, could have used a bit more to just take in the sites but 4 hours goes fast. Next time I will ask for all to be English Speakers. There was our 4 and another party of 4 all Portuguese. Our guide had to translate for us then talk with the other group. We were limited in asking questions because we were in the back of the mini bus. It would have meant talking over the other group. And we were unable to understand his answers when they were asking questions. However, as always we are delighted with Viator and will use again.
We were treated to a panoramic view of the old city, and toured the new residential areas that have attracted young people. Our driver, Miguel, did a good job of handling the narrow streets and pointing out sites throughout the tour. This tour is recommended for those with time limitations seeking an overview of the city.
