About this activity
After a safety briefing on the dock, you will board our safe and seaworthy 24-foot Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat (RIB).
You will leave the pick up point in Lisbon and head across the Tagus to get spectacular views of downtown and midtown with a perfect panoramic view of the city. You'll visit the city standing across the river in front of Lisbon with a special note to Commerce Plaza and surrounding tradicional neighborhoods like Alfama, Mouraria and Castelo.
You run south passing the oldest floating boat of the Portuguese army and head to the Christ Statue, after through the famous bridge built in 1964, two old fisherman villages, and head for the entrance of the river and the beginning of the Atlantic Ocean.
From this point you are able to have a better understanding of the city's positioning and of its surroundings. Then cross back over to the river's north margin.
Skipper will stop for a group picture in front of Torre de Belém, the Portuguese most visited monument. Then you will smoothly appreciate the view to the Monument to the Discoveries, an emblematic monument symbolising a boat and the people with the biggest involvement in that adventure. The building of the first Power plant of Lisbon, now Electricity Museum before seeing the magnifycent building of MAAT (The Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology). The latest cultural project for the city of Lisbon.
We will go under the Bridge, this time closer to the city and we’ll get real close to a great view of the old part of the Town before leaving you in the requested place of drop-off.
Our captains stop the boat at many places along the way to point out landmarks and give you the opportunity to take photos.
