The National Palace of Sintra, also known as Palácio da Vila, is located in the parish of São Martinho, in the town of Sintra, Lisbon District, Portugal.
It was one of the Royal Palaces and is now owned by the Portuguese State, which uses it for tourism and cultural purposes. From urban implantation, its construction began in century XV, although an old construction of the Muslim era was taken advantage of.
It presents characteristics of medieval architecture, Gothic, Manueline, Renaissance and romantic. It is considered an example of organic architecture, of set of apparently separate bodies, but which form part of an articulated whole, through courtyards, stairs, corridors and galleries.
The Palace was used by the Portuguese Royal Family practically until the end of the Monarchy in 1910. It was here that D. Manuel received the news of the discovery of Brazil, it was here that D. Afonso V was born and died, it was here that D. was imprisoned. Alfonso VI, it was here that D. John II was made king.
In 2008 it was the most visited palace in Portugal with 408 712 visitors. At present the building is managed by the Sintra - Monte da Lua Parks, as well as several other spaces and monuments of the county of Sintra.

The Regaleira Palace is the main building and the most common name of the Quinta da Regaleira palace. It is also called Monteiro dos Millões Palace, denomination associated with the nickname of its first owner was António Augusto who was distinguished by King Dom Carlos I on August 16, 1904 as Baron de Almeida.

Cabo da Roca is the westernmost point of mainland Portugal, as well as continental Europe. It is located in the parish of Colares, Sintra municipality and district of Lisbon. The place is visitable, not until the extreme but until a zone to the altitude of 140 m. The cape forms the western end of the Serra de Sintra, precipitating over the Atlantic Ocean. Its geographical coordinates are N 38º46'51 ", W 9º30'2".
Luís Vaz de Camões described it as the place "Where the earth ends and the sea begins" (in Os Lusíadas, Canto III). A stone pattern with a tombstone mark this geographical feature to all who visit this place. Its flora is diverse and, in many cases, has unique species, being the object of several studies that also extend to geomorphology, among others.
In the zone there is a lighthouse (Cabo da Roca Lighthouse) and a tourist shop. It is inserted in the Natural Park of Sintra-Cascais, in an area of easy access and of great tourist affluence, being many people who visit it.

Its northernmost point, as well as its highest point, is Peninha, which rises to 465 meters. The National Palace of Queluz is an 18th century palace located in the city of Queluz in the municipality of Sintra, Lisbon district. One of the last large rococo-style buildings erected in Europe, the palace was built as a summer nook for D. Pedro de Bragança, who later became the husband and king consort of his niece, Queen Maria I of Portugal .
It served as a discreet place of imprisonment for the queen D. Maria I while her madness continued to worsen after the death of D. Pedro in 1786. After the fire that struck Ajuda Palace in 1794, the Palace of Queluz became the the official residence of the Portuguese prince regent, the future D. João VI, and his family. It stayed like this until the flight of the royal family to Brazil in 1807, due to the French invasion of Portugal.
The construction of the Palace began in 1747, having as architect Mateus Vicente de Oliveira. Despite being much smaller, it is often called "the Portuguese Versailles". From 1826, the palace slowly ceased to be the favorite of the Portuguese rulers. In 1908, it became state property. After a severe fire in 1934, which destroyed its interior, the Palace was extensively restored and today is open to the public as a tourist spot.
