Carry on through the streets of Baixa-Chiado until you reach Bairro Alto, the city's bohemian haunt of artists and writers. Its grid of streets is quiet during the day, where you can still find the local residents hanging their clothes to dry but at night is transformed into Lisbon vibrant nightlife quarter, where people from all ages and backgrounds are hopping from bar to bar with a drink in hand.

The party in Lisbon may begin in Bairro Alto, but it usually ends in Pink Street, locally known as Rua Cor-de-Rosa. Once the meeting point for sailors, prostitutes and local criminals, it gain an unsavoury reputation long ago. However, the scandalous buildings have turned into works of art and Lisbon’s “Red Light District” is long gone. The Pink Street left it is brighter than ever!

Move on to Santos Design District, one of the oldest neighbourhood’s in Lisbon. It’s actually called Santos-O-Velho (Santos, the old). Perched on a hill facing the river, Santos is home to a kaleidoscope of art aficionados, architects and designers. Lisbon’s Museum of Ancient Art is one of the things to do in the Santos neighbourhood you should not miss. You can park for free and enjoy the gorgeous garden overlooking the 25th of April bridge and Cristo-Rei.
