About this activity
An unforgettable journey along the paths of faith, rich in history, flavors, monumental architecture and an important UNESCO World Heritage route.
Particularly known for being a pilgrimage site, Fátima is one the most famous religious places in the whole world, where the three shepherd children are said to have witnessed Our Lady’s apparition, on May 13th, 1917.
On the UNESCO World Heritage route of the region, there’s a stop to visit the Monestary of Batalha – a work of art of the late Gothic period, which was founded in 1385.
The tour continues along the coastal zone of Nazaré. A famous fishing village, with biblical waves, it was, back in the days, a place of pilgrimage and devotion to Our Lady of Nazaré and the house of one of the most important Marian sanctuaries of Portugal, between the 17th and the 19th centuries.
Óbidos, a medieval village, is also a must-see place, as it is one of the most idyllic and well preserved sites of this tour. Where you can enjoy the famous Ginjinha de Óbidos, traditionally taken in a chocolate chip, which are excellent reasons to visit.
