Start the day with a pickup from your Lisbon hotel by a local guide who will accompany you throughout the tour. Head to the charming town of Fatima to visit its famed sanctuary and the basilicas of Santissima Trindade and Nossa Senhora do Rosário de Fátima. Tour the Chapel of the Apparitions and hear the story of the three children who experience the holy visions for which the site is famous.

Next, head to the town of Batalha to visit the Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitoria, one of the great symbols of the Portuguese Gothic period. Then continue on to the fishing village of Nazaré to enjoy lunch (own expense) in one of the many excellent local restaurants.

After lunch, explore Nazaré Beach and the castle of Óbidos, formerly the residence of Portuguese kings and queens. Enjoy a tasting of the town’s traditional cherry liqueur before heading back to Lisbon and getting dropped off at your hotel.
