The road to Sintra takes about 30 minutes, that you will spend enjoying an entertaining and educational narrative from your expert local guide. 
In Sintra, your first stop will be Quinta da Regaleira, one of the most surprising of all Sintra’s monuments. Follow your guide to explore its romantic palace, beautiful garden, lakes, caves and underground labyrinths concealing mysterious meanings from masonry and esoteric symbols. 
Continue to the center of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed town of Sintra. Your guide will show you the old part of Sintra called "the Vila", including the National Palace, a medieval royal palace occupied during 15th-19th centuries. Then, check out the family owned cafe, adored by locals, to try it's famous traditional cheescake "queijada" (included in the price). You will have free time to spend on your own. May be you'll opt for a lunch and Port Wine tasting in a specialized shop, or go authentic souvenir shopping. 
OR you can back in your tour vehicle and go to the royal Pena National Palace, located in the Sintra hills. This flamboyant palace complex is considered to be one of the world’s best examples of nineteenth-century Romantic architecture and is one of the "7 Wonders of Portugal" list.
You'll have free time to visit the colorful palace, to look out over the Atlantic ocean and Serra de Sintra from Queen's terrace, to walk along the shady paths of it's garden to soak up this fairy tale like atmosphere (own expence, no guide). 
Back in your tour vehicle and head to Cape Roca, the westernmost point on the European mainland. About 150 metres from the sea, you can enjoy a panoramic view over the coastline and the ocean, all of which makes your trip well worth the visit.
Your next brief stop is Guincho beach. Admire it's massive waves and constant breeze so beloved by professional surfers and kite flying lovers.
The way to Cascais will pass along the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. In Cascais follow your guide to learn about it's maritime history and transformation from a fishing village into a glamourous resort in the 19th century. You will have free time to walk around the welcoming streets with patterned pavement or take a walk along the beach.
Meet back with your guide to return to Lisbon. Your tour ends at your hotel.
