Walking Tour - Old town

The tour starts in Rossio (praça D.Pedro IV) where you can see its fountains and the place where the inquisition had its centre. Continue to Praça da Figueira and visit the São Domingos Church, built in the XIII century and from where the condemned of the inquisition exit to Rossio Square.
Then, head to downtown (baixa pombalina) - where the the buidings of the XVIII century can be appreciated in its glorious reconstruction after the big earthquake in 1755, which destroyed almost all the city.
Go up the Santa Justa Lift and enjoy one of the most complete views of Lisbon Downtown and then come down to head to the most important square in Lisbon - Praça do Comércio and listen to amazing stories about the portuguese sailors.
After you will head up to the Lisbon Cathedral (XII century), make a visit to its inside and hear about the Lisbon conquest to the moors and how amazing it was.
You will go after to the sightseeing point Portas do Sol, enjoy the view to the river and understand Lisbon toponimics.
Head down to Alfama, the oldest quarter in Lisbon, where the moors used to live before the portuguese conquest. Here you can see the oldest buildings of Lisbon and some survivors of the earthquake. Check the oldest traffic sign in the whole world and head down to Campo das Cebolas, listening to the ancient Lisbon Port stories.
The tour ends in the Comércio Square.
