Itinerary

Day 1: Liverpool to Lake District

Pass By: Lake District National Park, Oxenholme Road Murley Moss, Kendal LA9 4LF England
You will be picked up from Liverpool in a luxury Minivan, heading North to the Lake District via the M6 Motorway, in under two hours you will arrive in the Lake District. Once you arrive in the Lake District you will travel past Lake Windermere, England's largest lake towards Hawkshead.

Stop At: Hawkshead Grammar School, Hawkshead, Ambleside England
You will have time to explore the medieval town of Hawkshead.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Hill Top, Beatrix Potter's House, Near Sawrey, Hawkshead, Ambleside LA22 0LF England
You will visiting Hill Top Farm which was owned and lived in by Beatrix Potter.
Duration: 45 minutes

Pass By: Tarn Hows, Lake District National Park, Coniston LA21 8AQ England
Next stop is Tarn Hows, the natural beauty spot which was left to the National Trust to Beatrix Potter in her will.

Pass By: Coniston Water, Coniston England
Visit Coniston, famous for where Arthur Ransome based his childrens’ book ‘Swallows and Amazons’ on locations around Coniston Water.

Stop At: Lake Windermere, Windermere England
Cruise on England's largest lake, Windermere.
Duration: 30 minutes

Day 2: Hadrian's Wall & Roman Britain

Stop At: Lanercost Priory Burtholme, Lanercost, Brampton CA8 2HQ England
Visit the church built within the priory ruins and Burne Jones windows. The Augustinian priory of Lanercost stands nearby to Hadrian’s Wall and was much involved in the Anglo-Scottish wars.
Duration: 20 minutes

Pass By: Hadrian's Wall, Carlisle CA4 8LN England
You will follow the wall passing ‘Mile Castles’ and ‘Towers’. Hadrian’s Wall is almost 80 miles long and was the northern boundary of the mighty Roman Empire for around 3 Centuries.

Stop At: Roman Army Museum, Chesterholm Museum Bardon Mill, Hexham NE47 7JN England
The next stop will by the Roman Army Museum, where there is time for lunch and a café inside (please note lunch is not included). The Roman Army Museum lies on the site of Carvoran Roman Fort adjacent to sections of Hadrian’s Wall. The museum’s artefacts, videos and reconstructions, it also has a award winning 3D film illustrates the military and civil engineering accomplishments of the Roman’s in Britain.

Stop At: Vindolanda Vindolanda Bardon Mill, Hexham NE47 7JG England
Vindolanda is an amazing working archaeological dig site to the south of Hadrian’s Wall. There were 9 forts built on the site over the 400 years of Roman occupancy. Each day during the summer, treasures are uncovered by the volunteer excavators.

Day 3: High Adventure

Pass By: Blea Tarn, Little Langdale England
Pass by Blea Tarn with the backdrop of the Langdale Pikes behind.

Pass By: Wrynose Pass Road England
Travel over one of the highest Mountain Passes in England

Stop At: Hardknott Roman Fort, Hardknott Pass, Eskdale CA19 1TH England
View the remote and dramatically-sited fort on the side of Hardknott Pass
Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Boot Inn, Boot, Eskdale CA19 1TG England
Ride on the narrow gauge railway, Ravenglass & Eskdale railway line.
Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Wast Water, Wasdale Head England
Visit the deepest lake in England, with stunning views of Scafell Pike
Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: Muncaster Castle, Ravenglass CA18 1RQ England
Entry to the gardens is included.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop in Grasmere, famous for Sarah Nelson's Gingerbread & William Wordsworth
Duration: 30 minutes

Pass By: World Museum, Liverpool Museum William Brown Street, Liverpool L3 8EN England
Travel back to Liverpool for 19:30.
