Super Tuscan wine tasting and local delicacies in Bolgheri

Meet family Di Vaira that grow grapes in Bolgheri since fifty years. They grow local varieties as Vermentino, Malvasia, Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Trebbiano but also varieties excellent to produce famous Super Tuscans as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot.

The farm is situated under the Rocca di Castiglionecello di Bolgheri, in the heart of what is considered one of the most important territories of winemaking in Italy, renowned throughout the world, endowed with everything one would wish: medieval towns and villages, rolling hillsides and splendid forests, sunrises and sunsets over the sea just a few kilometers away….
The wine, the extra virgin olive oil, the food and the culture of the people make this territory something magical.

Family Vaira also produces excellent virgin olive oil, grappa and brandy.

You will visit the vineyards, the wine cellar and the wine aging room guided by a family member. After your visit you will taste two wines, one Bolgheri Biano DOC 100% Vermentino, one Bolgheri Rosso DOC 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Merlot, paired with local delicacies as cold cuts, cheese, honey and bruschette.

During the summer tasting will take place in the beautiful garden, during the winter season in the tasting room.
