Day 1: Arrive at Ljubljana

Arrival at Ljubljana Airport. Transfer to hotel in Ljubljana and check-in. If time allowing, optional (for surcharge) guided sightseeing of Ljubljana, the Slovenia capital. The highlights include the beautiful Old town with cathedral, Dragon Bridge, castle and the Three Bridges Square. Overnight in Ljubljana.

Day 2: Ljubljana – Vintgar – Bled Lake – Bohinj Lake – Ljubljana

After breakfast pickup from hotel and drive through the picturesque landscape to the heart of the Slovenian Alpine region. The first stop is the Vintgar Gorge, one of the most popular natural features in Slovenia. The path through the Vintgar Gorge leads over the wooden bridges, through galleries along the rushing river Radovna through the picturesque gorge, 1600m long and more than 100 m deep. Gorge ends with 26-metre Šum waterfall. Later depart to Bled, which is often mentioned as the »Pearl the Alpine region«. Famous for the emerald-green lake, romantic church on the island in the middle of the lake and a medieval castle from the 11th century perched on a cliff above the lake. Leisure in Bled and a trip to the island by the traditional lake boat called “Pletna”. The journey will continue to Lake Bohinj, the largest glacier lake in Slovenia. Spend some time relaxing on the shores of peaceful lake and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the mountains rising high above the lake. On return drive through picturesque villages, also through the village of Studor, famous for wooden hayracks. The double structure of these hayracks is particular to the area and the Studor group of hayracks has been declared an architectural monument. Return to Ljubljana and overnight.

Day 3: Ljubljana – Postojna Cave – Lipica – Piran – Ljubljana

After breakfast transfer to Postojna Cave, which ranks among the most important caves in the world, representing a must see underground phenomena. We continue to the Lipica Stud Farm, home of the Lipizzaner horse. Nowadays, it is one of the most beautiful cultural and historical monuments of Slovenia, its rich history reaching back to the year 1580, when Habsburg dynasty founded it. Short stop for admiring animals in open pastures. Continue to Adriatic coast and stop at the coastal town of Piran, which resembles a large open-air museum. Stroll along narrow medieval streets and fall in love with the city and its rich cultural heritage. On the way back, drive through Portorož, called also the »Slovenian Cote`d Azur« and return to Ljubljana. Overnight.

Day 4: Ljubljana

Breakfast and free time until transfer to airport for departure flight.
