Itinerary

Stop At: Lake Bohinj, Triglav National Park, Bohinjsko Jezero 4265 Slovenia
We start in front off your destination in Bohinj and take you to even quieter spots in the Bohinj Valley, to the Savica Waterfall which is significant also in the historical sense as it was described by one of the greatest Slovenian poets – France Prešeren. There are quite a few steps leading to the waterfall – we will challenge you to count them . There is a small and big Savica waterfall, particularly majestic after rainfall or in the spring when the snow in the mountains is melting. Then we continue to the Zlatorog and take a boat down the Bohinj Lake. Savica is the main source of water for the lake and it is also the outspring of the Sava Bohinjka, one of the two outsprings of our longest river - the Sava. At the end of the lake you will see the famous Church of John the Baptist where you can admire the fresco of St. Christopher who has six toes. Our next destination is the Mostnica Gorge where you will see marvellous creations done by nature – pools, rapids, sinkholes. There is also an interesting rock, called the Elephant which was formed when two sinkholes merged. You will enjoy the picturesque nature and the beauties of our country and breathe the clear and crisp mountain air.
