If you want to see the natural beauty of Slovenia and learn about its colorful history, this tour is one you should join. This exciting adventure will take you to the town of Postojna, home of the famous Postojna Cave, a 24,340m-long karst cave system known for its stunning rock formations. You’ll also visit Lake Bled at the breathtaking town of Bled, where you’ll have the option to enjoy a ride on a pletna, Slovenia’s traditional wooden boat. After savoring Slovenia’s nature, you’ll then learn about its history when you visit Predjama Castle. The renaissance castle built in a cave mouth is known to be the home of the knight Erasmus, dubbed as the country’s real-life Robin Hood. To complete this exciting tour, you’ll also be picked up and dropped off from your hotel for a stress-free exploration of the city.
Summer Itinerary (Apr-Oct):
• 8:30am hotel pick up in Ljubljana
• 9:30am visit Bled Castle
• 10:45am boat ride (at own cost) on a pletna
• View Bled island with 99 stone steps on the way to the Assumption of Mary church and the fortune bell
• 11:45am free time
• 3:00pm join a guided tour of Postojna cave
• 5:00pm visit Predjama castle and learn about the legend of a famous knight, Erasmus, the ‘Slovenian Robin Hood’
• 7:00pm hotel drop off in Ljubljana, the tour ends
