Wine Tasting Private Day Trip to Goriska Brda

Start your private tour with a pickup from your central Ljubljana hotel and drive towards Goriška Brda, the Slovenian Tuscany. The landscape is full of rolling hills with churches, small villages and of course vineyards. 

We start the tour in Solkan, a small village with beautiful and one of the most famous bridges in Slovenia, the Solkan bridge. We continue to explore Goriška Brda wine region with a stop in picturesque medieval village Šmartno. The village perched on a panoramic hill has five preserved towers and the largest church in Brda, Church of St. Martin, with a bell tower. 

We continue than to a local winery for some excellent wine tasting. We will try some of the best and most characteristic wines of the region Goriška Brda and have the chance to see how this wines are produced. 

Beside wine the region is also famous for its olive oil, cheese and cherries.
