About this activity
The creation of Blenheim Palace was no easy achievement - the main architect was even refused entry to see his completed work. However, it is open today for all to enjoy its sumptuous interior and its expansive gardens, lake house and maze.
Most of these tours are effectively private group bookings (although not advertised for only private groups, except if you wish to request a booking on a Saturday). Thus, average numbers on tours are only 2 to 4 persons. The guided tour duration is 90+ minutes.
Upon arrival at Blenheim Palace, your guide will take you on a guided tour from approximately 02:00 PM to 03:30 PM. You will then have free time to visit other parts of the palace and gardens on your own or to enjoy a meal at the palace gardens cafe or interior restaurant. The default start time for tour will be 02:00 PM but other start times may be possible by request, before booking.

- Any requests for a tour to be conducted in a foreign language, require you to select to book the private group tour option. Otherwise, the tour is only offered in English.

- You have the option to either book the 2pm public tour (small groups of max up to 6 persons) or to book at flexible start time for a private group tour (max 6 persons). If you choose to book a private tour, you may select to book the tour in one of the other foreign languages mentioned. Any request for foreign language tours will be subject to availability of specific guide and so such requests, we need as much advance notice as possible.
- Finally, the third tour option listed allows you to choose to book an add-on 90 minutes guided tour at 10.30am of Oxford city before then also joining the 2pm palace tour.
- Meeting Point Options:
- The option exists for you to choose to either meet the guide at 2pm at the palace at our designated meeting point or alternatively to meet the guide at 12.45 in Oxford city centre to join the bus to the palace (with return bus ticket paid for free of charge)
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 6 travelers
