About this activity
Depart from Fountain Square (123-151 Buckingham Palace Road) in London and make your way to Blenheim Palace. Arrive early in order to ensure a nearly private visit of the fairy-tale mansion. View the impressive State Rooms, walk through the well maintained gardens designed by Capability Brown, and grab a photo opportunity at the lake.
Head next through the Cotswolds, taking in the countryside, sleepy villages, and bustling market towns on a tour of one of England’s most pretty regions. Blenheim Palace was wonderful. It was enjoyable to go around the palace at a leisurely pace. The gardens of the palace were very picturesque. The Cotswolds were very nice too. Bourton-on-the-Water, especially, was very pretty.
I felt it was really well organized but not too intense. We did the Blenheim Cotswolds tour. It was nice because we got to stop off and walk around villages at our own pace , then we had a pretty decent packed lunch and ended up at Blenheim. Our guide was really first rate -- really knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
We certainly got our money's worth on this tour. We stopped at several towns in the Cotswolds and were able to have sufficient time to walk around and take photos, shop if you wish and grab a cup of latte. Bleinhem Palace was beautiful. I wish we could have had a personal tour inside.
