About this activity

Jimi Hendrix and George Handel were both world renowned musicians. Their prowess over their genres and special musical talents has ensured their music is still recognized many centuries later. Both musicians were based in London and were born nearly two centuries apart; luckily, their houses are only a wall away. Now both their residences are converted to a museum; which pays homage to music and the talents of these virtuosos.

See where the worked, how they used to compose music and many other documents and recordings which these two geniuses worked in. Often inspirational and motivational, this tour will leave you awestruck as you explore the simple lives of these international sensations.

Your Handel Hendrix Museum Experience

Your tour will focus on two separate locations; the first, 23rd Brook Street which was home to Rockstar Jimi Hendrix; and second, the classical composer George Handel’s home on 25th Brook Street.

Jimi Hendrix’s Flat

Jimi Hendrix was a man who requires no introduction. The famous ‘club 27’ member moved into his London Flat in 1968 and his spirit still lingers on the walls. The flat was restored and reopened to the public in February 2016 and has attracted his followers and music-lovers alike. There’s just something about the place, its tranquil setting and classy decorations are quite the sight to behold.

Handel’s House

George Frideric Handel moved into his Brook Street house in 1723. Back then, it was a modest London townhouse located close to Soho and the Covent Garden. Modeled with a basement, multiple floors and keeping in mind Handel’s musical inclinations; the house has rooms dedicated for music, composing areas and more.

You will be allowed to access all areas of the museum. See where Handel composed his music, and where Jimi would return after his sensational USA tour of 1968. You can visit the gift shop and take home memorabilia of your musical endeavour.
