Enjoy an exciting ice-skating experience at the iconic Natural History Museum, right in the heart of London’s beautiful South Kensington.
The capital’s most popular ice rink is back for 2018! Taking place from October 2018 to January 2019, this enchanting attraction is set in the beautiful grounds of the iconic Natural History Museum in the heart of South Kensington.
Complimented by a café bar serving delicious delights to warm you up this winter, and a junior ice rink to get your little ones started, this magical setting is perfect for festive fun, children’s parties or entertaining clients, colleagues or friends.
You must arrive 40 minutes before booked session to allow for skate fitting etc (20 minutes for 1st session of the day) and please note sessions are 50 minutes long.

  • Please note: The booking is non-changeable and non-refundable. Please present the voucher upon arrival and bring a form of identification that matches the Lead Traveller name on your ticket, with you on the day of your visit, as this may be checked before entry is allowed.
  • You must arrive 40 minutes before booked session to allow for skate fitting etc (20 minutes for 1st session of the day) and please note sessions are 50 minutes long
  • Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult on the ice
  • Skate hire is free of charge – sizes range from child size 7 (Euro 25) to adult 15
  • No bags (except rucksacks) are allowed on the ice rink
  • Cloakroom facility available in skate change area - £2 per item, free for school groups
  • Skate change area is for ticket holders only. Visitors without a valid skating ticket will not be allowed in to this area
  • Entrance to the Café Bar is free and does not require an ice skating ticket
  • There will be a tasty range of hot food sold outside in the Museum Gardens in addition to the food available in the Café Bar
  • Skaters may use their own skates but organisers reserve the right not to allow a person to use their own skates if they decide that they are not suitable. There is no discount to the ticket price for use of your own skates
  • The rink can operate in nearly all weather conditions. Please bring suitable outdoor clothing; remember, ice is made from water, and you may get wet. This is an outdoor event and no refunds will be given due to inclement weather.
  • Lost property will be held at the ice rink. Please contact nhmskating@img.com with regards to lost items.
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 10 travelers
