About this activity
Your Private Driver Guide will Meet and Greet you at your Central London hotel or vacation residence - and your mode of transport will be a trafditional London Black Cab with an accredited London Tour Driver Guide.
Our royal route and running commentary with presentation stops will take in the home of our medieval monarchs at the Tower of London plus our Tudor monarchs at Lambeth Palace and St. James’s Palace - and we shall revisit the site of the execution of Charles I at Whitehall Palace as well as the venue that sowed the seeds of the English Civil War at the Palace of Westminster (otherwise known as the Houses of Parliament which includes Big Ben).
Another highlight will be Westminster Abbey where coronations have taken place since the coronation of William the Conquerer on Christmas Day in 1066 - this venue is also where the funeral service for Princess Diana was held in 1997 and where Prince William married Kate Middleton in 2013.
Before leaving London we shall take in Kensington Palace which was the birthplace of Queen Victoria and where both Prince William and Prince Harry live today.
En route to Windsor-on-Thames your time machine will go back 800 years to the setting in 1215 for King John’s signing of the Magna Carta.
Lunch can be taken alongside the River Thames - and your Guide will have several suitable options for a meal break.
Your day before a steady walk through the delightful town of Windsor-on-Thames up to the gates of Windsor Castle.
Castle tickets include a visit to Her Majesty’s the Queen’s State Apartments plus Queen Mary’s Dolls House before taking in the grace and splendour of St. George’s Chapel where Harry and Meghan got hitched on that very special English day in the sunshine.
There will be ample opportunities to pick up some much valued gifts and souvenirs.
Your Guide will know the best places for those all-important photo shoots.
On our return to any Central London location of choice there will still be time to take in Elton College where Prince William and Prince Harry we’re educated.
This will be a day to day to remember for fans of the British Monarchy.
