Whilst you’re in Durham Cathedral’s grounds, why don’t you explore the historic Cathedral itself? As one of the most lavish cathedrals in Britain, it is bursting at the seams with exceptional beauty that you won’t go forgetting in a hurry. Durham Cathedral is known as the earliest church to be sealed with a rib vault that went on to be used across the rest of Europe’s cathedrals. Enjoy the glorious state-of-the-art exhibition gallery and see if you can recognise the cloisters used in the Harry Potter film franchise!
