H.G. Wells's infamous invasion novel has been served up in plenty of different formats, but never like this. It's as close to an apocalypse as it's possible to get without, you know, the actual doom and destruction.

War of the Worlds: The Immersive Experience transports you back to Victorian England to play out Jeff Wayne's acclaimed musical rendition of 1898's martian takeover using immersive theatre, holograms, as well as intense virtual and augmented reality.

Clamber, crawl and slide your way through iconic War of the Worlds locations such as the Observatory and Horsell Common, as live actors help and hinder your quest for survival.

You'll need your wits about you. Dodge alien heat rays, stumble through total darkness and navigate London as you've never seen, heard or smelled it before.

Costumes are encouraged, but maybe avoid wearing your favourite underwear – this isn't for the faint of heart.
