Pass By: University of Oxford, University Offices 1 Wellington Square, Oxford OX1 2JD England

The University of Oxford is a collegiate research university in Oxford, England. There is evidence of teaching as early as 1096,[2] making it the oldest university in the English-speaking world and the world's second-oldest university in continuous operation.[2][12] It grew rapidly from 1167 when Henry II banned English students from attending the University of Paris.[2] After disputes between students and Oxford townsfolk in 1209, some academics fled north-east to Cambridge where they established what became the University of Cambridge.[13] The two 'ancient universities' are frequently jointly called 'Oxbridge'. The history and influence of the University of Oxford has made it one of the most prestigious universities in the world.

Our tour guide was funny, lovely and her knowledge about history was beyond! It was very nice listening to her talk about those places. My friend and I only wish we had more time in Oxford, we only did a quik tour of the outsides of some buildings of Oxford university. Warwick castle is beautiful from the outside, but inside is not really authentic, it's more for kids, as they are a lot of reconstitutions. Stratford was great we had lunch there, there is more time there to explore a bit if you're not going into Shakespeare's house! Lovely cafes and shops! Overall a great day out of London!
