About this activity
On this Tour we depart Derry city, and cross the border into the Beautiful Donegal, and we make our way to high ground where the majestical fort which is "An Grianan of Aileach" sits. On this hilltop we take in the mind blowing panoramic views on the Inishowen Peninsula before we walk to the fort and smell the history of 2000 years.
From here we travel through the Inishowen peninsula towards "Fort Dunree" where we wander around this aged military camp and learn of the local military History.
Onwards we travel to "Doagh Famine Village where we learn about the local life, from times of the Great Famine, to present day Ireland.
Finally we make our way to the most northerly point on the Island of Ireland "Malin Head" before making our way back to Derry we will stop in a local pub where we will enjoy and Lovely pint of Guinness with some locals! :)
