Day 1 Today we head through the Mojave Desert to the fabulous Las Vegas, we stop at the Outlets of Barstow for some shopping, lunch and souvenirs. After lunch we pass by the famous Ivanpah Solar Plant, the plant has a gross capacity of 392 megawatts (MW). We stop at the Seven Magic Mountains in Jane, NV for foto opportunities, They were created by the Swiss artist Ugo Nordinone. Seven pillars of huge, neon-hued boulders stretch up to the sky, “creative expression of human presence in the desert.” We then continue to the Fabulous Las Vegas. We end our tour at the renowned Excalibur Hotel and for those who want to head out on their own, we recommend checking out the main attractions on foot, the beautiful fountains at the Bellagio, the amazing Caesars Palace, the Venetian with the gondolas and so on, or you can book a show and enjoy any of the Cirque de Soleil and many other attractions. Day 2-Pickup at the Excalibur Hotel, bus holding area. We will be leaving the Excalibur Hotel at approximately 7:00 am on our way to the Grand Canyon with stops in Kingman, Arizona, for coffee and snacks then continue our drive on the I40, the Interstate that replaced the once renowned Route 66. We will stop on Route 66 in historical Williams, Arizona for lunch, this is where you will find all sorts of memorabilia and Route 66 souvenirs. After Lunch we continue to the Grand Canyon with stops at Mather Point and Desert View, taking in the spectacular views. We then continue to Navajo Nation with a stop at a 1916 Native American Trading Post in Cameron, Arizona, many Native American artifacts can be seen and purchased here. Overnight in Page, AZ
Day 3- In the morning we head to Antelope Canyon, one of the most famous slot canyons created by flood waters on the Navajo Reservation, after our Navajo guided tour we head on to Monument Valley for an open vehicle tour through this amazing valley. From here we head to the Horseshoe Bend, a natural bend of the Colorado River with an iconic and spectacular view. From here we head back to Page, AZ
Day 4-The city of Page Arizona was built to house the workers of Glen Dam and the creation of the second largest manmade lake in the US, Lake Powell, 1960 miles of shoreline, 186 miles long, named after the explorer John Wesley Powell. So we head to the Carl Hayden Visitor Center with amazing views of the Glen Dam and Lake Powell.From here we will head to the beautiful Zion National Park with all its amazing views and hiking trails. We will spend some time at the Zion Lodge, taking on either one of the trails or a tour on the scenic Zion Shuttle Trolley Tour and then head towards St. George Utah for a late lunch, driving through the Virgin River Gorge then the Mojave Desert. Today we drive through 4 states and back to Los Angeles. For those who wish to stay in Las Vegas, our tour ends at the Excalibur Hotel, bus holding area.
