Stop At: Pak Ou Caves, Ban Pak-Ou 06000 Laos
Pak Ou Caves are on of the most the most treasured regilous symbols of Luang Prabang province. Situated upstream from the Mekong, at about 20 miles from Luang Prabang. The tour starts from you hotel. Private tour guide will pick you up from your hotel and transferred to the boat pier. From there, we embark on a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside, before reaching the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the local rice wine.
On the way back, we will disembark the boat to take a short drive to Ban Phanom village which located 4 kms to the north of Luang Prabang, a village famous for its hand weaving where you can enjoy viewing women working on their looms and you can buy their products and strolls. Then, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
