Luang Prabang Nature: Pha Tad Ke Garden and Kuang Si waterfalls

08:30: our guide and driver pick you up at your hotel in town, and transfer to the boat pier near Wat Xieng Thong

09:00: Enjoy the 15-minute cruise downstream the Mekong river to Pha Tad Ke Garden, the first and only botanical garden in Luang Prabang

09:30: Arriving at the garden, enjoy the welcome drink. Then the garden expert will give you the brief about the garden and its vision and efforts to make the first botanical garden in Laos, created to be a regional research center with the first living collection of the flora of Laos that provides opportunities for collaboration with international botanical institutions.

10:00-11:30: Strolling around the garden learning about the trees & plants, most of them with label and explanation attached. If there is any questions, our guide and garden experts are willing to give you all the detail.

12:00 Enjoy the delicious lunch at the Pha Tad Ke Cafe, the foods are made from the local ingredients; some grown up in the garden. This is one of the best meals that you will have in Laos.

13:30: Continue the cruise downstream the Mekong river to Ban Sing, where we have the transfer to the exciting Kuang Si waterfalls.

You have the rest of the afternoon to refresh with the cool clear water, or hiking to the top of the waterfalls.

There is also the chance to walk to the nearby village of

Ban Thapene, and explore the hidden waterfalls, which is rarely visited by other tourists

If you wish, we will also take a short visit to the

Bear Rescue Center, which houses a couple of dozen animals rescued from the hands of poachers and traffickers.

17:00: Transfer back to Ban Sing, and board on the cruise back to Luang Prabang whilst the sun is setting behind the mountain.
