Pass By: Luzern, 6003 Lucerne, Switzerland

Your multilingual guide — who speaks English and Spanish — will greet you at Lucerne in the morning and invites you to step aboard the luxury coach for a scenic 1-hour drive to Interlaken.

Stop At: Bahnhofstrasse 25/5 3800, 3800 Interlaken, Switzerland

You'll travel through one of the most idyllic regions in Switzerland, the Bernese Oberland, to the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Jungfraujoch region.

Take a quick guided tour of Interlaken, a popular town situated between two lakes.

Duration: 45 minutes

Pass By: Grund Railway Station, Grundstrasse 61, 3818 Grindelwald, Switzerland

Then head to the nearby village of Grindelwald, where you'll board the cogwheel train for a spectacular ride to the foot of Switzerland’s most impressive Alpine panorama. Admire marvelous views of the famous triple peaks of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau as you ride halfway up the mountain to the Kleine Scheidegg mountain pass, located at 6,762 feet (2,061 meters) above sea level.

Stop At: Kleine Scheidegg, Berner Oberland Switzerland

You’ll have approximately four hours of free time here to explore and take in the sensational Alpine environment. Soak up a sweeping panorama of the Bernese Alps and the best possible views of the Eiger North Face, a famous mountain featured in films such as The Eiger Sanction, starring Clint Eastwood.

If you'd like, take a self-guided hike along the Jungfrau Eiger Walk (seasonal trails open late June to October) and capture photos of the rock and ice masses of Eiger Glacier. You'll find several easily accessible hiking trails of moderate difficulty to explore at your leisure.

For a taste of the region, head to one of the several local restaurants to enjoy some traditional Swiss cuisine.

Duration: 4 hours

Pass By: Luzern, 6003 Lucerne, Switzerland

In the evening, the guide will pick you up at Kleine Scheidegg to make your way down to Lauterbrunnen. On the way you will pass Wengen a Swiss winter resort. Back in in Lauterbrunnen the coach awaits you to bring you back to Zürich.

The views were beautiful and the experience at Kleine Scheidegg was fun....however the tour was very disorganized. There were 3 groups all doing different tours, and it was not explained very well to us where we needed to go and where to meet up at the end. We would have enjoyed a bit more time in Interlaken. We only got about 30 minutes. Finishing the tour was not at all pleasant. We were put into a separate car on the train that only held 4 people. We felt like we were prisoners. Away from the rest of the group which meant we missed out on the commentary from our tour guide. We were not very impressed with our guide Trudi. Her knowledge of the area was good but she was not a good leader. We do not feel that the cost of this tour was worth what we got out of it. We did an independant tour at Zermatt and the Matterhorn which we enjoyed far more than this, and was comparable in price.

The description for this tour needs to change. Not only that, but you can purchase the tour for much cheaper while in Switzerland. There were four hours at Kleine Scheidegg and no maps for hiking tours. Additionally, most everything was closed. The guide didn't even offer adding the tour to the top which I would have added just to have something to do. Not sure what the tour in Interlaken was supposed to consist of, but our guide just told us to go down the street and buy sandwiches. I really regret spending my money on this.

Breathtaking scenery. Did not take optional trip to the top and still rewarded with incredible views

Wow! What an amazing trip. It was one of our most favorite tours, and we did around 18 across Europe. Loved the time to just explore, have lunch and take in the atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Great trip that reminded us of skiing on the Kleine Scheidegg in years past. Taking the cog railway up from Grindelwald and down thru Wengen to Lauterbrunen was a treat. The guide was excellent. Tour was a great value. Good food and local color at Kleine Scheidegg.
