Mountain Aperitif Unique Experience on Pilatus

Start your Mt. Pilatus tour at the valley station in Kriens to hop aboard the panoramic gondola for the 30-minute ride to Fräkmüntegg. If you have kids, perhaps hop off the gondola halfway through the ride in Krienseregg, where a playground provides a chance for them to burn some energy before continuing the gondola ride. 

At Fräkmüntegg, you can participate in activities, if you wish, such as climbing through the rope park (own expense). When you're ready, board the 'Dragon Ride,' an aerial cableway with a spacious interior, cockpit-like design, and large windows that give you the impression of being in a helicopter—only the flying is even more exhilarating.

On the summit panoramic views over the lake of Lucerne and the Alps awaits you. Continue your trip and walk over the terrace or the panorama in order to arrive at the Hotel Pilatus-Kulm (2-minutes). At the Ibex Bar a table awaits you. We are pleased to serve you a viator only Aperitiv. This includes a variety of local meat and cheese as well as a bottle of Prosecco (38cl/for 2 ppl). Later one you can climb one of the peaks (5-10 minutes) and troll around on the summit of Mount Pilatus.

The world’s steepest cogwheel railway (since 1889) brings you through fascinating rock faces, sparkling mountain streams and lush meadows carpeted with Alpine flowers down to Alpnachstad.

Please note: The aerial cableway is under maintenance between 23 of October and 10 of November 2017. In this case, you will ascend and descend Mt. Pilatus by cogwheel train.

SUMMER SEASON: From beginning/mid of Mai to end of November.
WINTER SEASON: From December to April the cogwheel train is closed. Access from Kriens only.

Itinerary:

2pm- Departure at Kriens valley station
2:30pm- Arrival at Fräkmüntegg and change into aerial cableways "Dragon Ride"
2:45pm- Arrival at summit and enjoy the views
3pm- Aperitif in the Restaurant Pilatus-Kulm (reserved table, please be on time)
4pm- Picture taking on Pilatus
4:25pm- Departure of cogwheel train to Alpnachstad (Only for mid-May to November)
5:05pm- Arrival in Alpnachstad valley station
