Pass By: Lucerne Station, Bahnhofplatz, Lucerne 6005 Switzerland

Head to Lucerne in the morning to board your luxury coach. Your multilingual guide — who speaks English and Spanish — will accompany you throughout your entire full-day journey. Sit back, relax and enjoy the scenic drive through Swiss countryside and the Bernese Oberland, a fairy-tale wonderland of white jagged Bernese Alps. The scenery is truly captivating, and it only gets better from here!

Stop At: Bahnhofstrasse 25/5 3800, 3800 Interlaken, Switzerland

After a 1-hour drive, stop for a break in the famous town of Interlaken, situated between two lakes to form the main gateway to the region's mountains and lakes.

Duration: 50 minutes

Pass By: Parking Grindelwald Grund, Unnamed Road 3818, 3818 Grindelwald, Switzerland

Then, head to the nearby village of Grindelwald to board your cogwheel train for an incredible 1.5-hour ride to Jungfraujoch. Travel through the high mountain pass of Kleine Scheidegg between the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau peaks.

Stop At: Top of Europe, 3801 Wengen, Jungfraujoch 3801 Switzerland

When you arrive at Jungfraujoch at an elevation of 11,332 feet (3,454 meters), you’ve reached one of Europe's highest railway stations! Jungfraujoch immerses you in a breathtaking Alpine wonderland.

Take the underground tunnel to the Top of Europe building and stand on the lookout point to gaze down on the snowy peaks of Aletsch Glacier. Ride the elevator to the Sphinx Observatory's terrace for more amazing panoramas, and then enter the Ice Palace to walk through the heart of a glacier; it's an unforgettable experience!

Enjoy a meal or some refreshments at one of the several restaurants at the Top of Europe (own expense). Savor your last views before boarding the train and heading back down to mountains, passing the ski resort of Wengen.

Duration: 2 hours 20 minutes

This was an amazing tour! We were fortunate to have sunny and clear skies which made the experience even better. The views from the Sphinx observatory and the cogwheel trains were spectacular, the tour guide was very informative and helpful, the stop and Interlaken was great and we had plenty of time to see everything we wanted to see.

This day trip was amazing and the staff exceptional! My husband lost his phone out the window on the way down and the staff went above and beyond to find it, which they did. Highly recommend using them.

Scenery was beautiful but the tour guide was awful. I would not book a future tour that is handled by Best of Switzerland. Find another company. Unfortunately, Best of Switzerland did not deliver a professional tour experience. The guide had a very thick accent making it near impossible to understand. Bad enough that we missed details of what we were seeing but worse when she was giving directions. I advised Best of Switzerland but they didnt see an issue. To me that tells you all you need to know about their concerns with quality control.

A great day trip from Luzern or Zurich - even in midwinter we had good luck with the weather as it was brilliant sunshine in the high mountains, and the views were amazing. A well organised tour with Minu as our guide who spoke excellent English and Spanish. Thoroughly recommended.

Being up the top of Jungfrau was breathtaking. We started the tour from Lucerne, which means you join the tour leaving from Zurich. It was a large group, about 60 people but the guides Peter and David did a great job managing everyone. This really is just a trip to Jungfrau. The stop in Interlaken was really just a shopping stop, but to be honest there really weren't that many good shops, unless you were looking for expensive watches. It would of be nice to have a bit more history or information about Switzerland etc. I think if you were going to do this trip, don't go later than early November because with the sun setting so early, the drive back will be pitch black. All in all an enjoyable day. Not sure if it would be possible to do it cheaper by yourself though...
